About me
Latrice L. Washington is a storyteller at heart with a pen in one hand and a passion for people in the other. A Los Angeles-based author, educator, and former television producer, she brings a rich blend of media savvy, emotional depth, and literary craft to every story she tells. Her debut novella, Remembering Love, is a moving new adult romance that explores grief, healing, and the courage it takes to love again written with the same sincerity and insight that have defined her 14+ years as a transformative English teacher in LA’s public schools. Before she ever stepped into a classroom, Latrice was shaping stories behind the scenes of some of television’s most compelling unscripted series. Her production credits span The Soul Train Music Awards, The Lady of Soul Awards, Savvy, Deadliest Catch, Monster Garage, MythBusters, Biker Build-Off, and Jockeys. She played a key creative role in packaging network titles like Fear Factor and Line of Fire. From the control room to the classroom, her mission has always been the same: to craft stories that resonate, challenge, and connect. She holds an M.A. in English and Creative Writing with a screenwriting emphasis from Southern New Hampshire University, and a B.A. in Theater Arts from Cal Poly Humboldt. A UCLA Writing Project Fellow and 2024 Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction, Latrice is known for blending heartfelt prose with layered characters and themes that linger long after the final page. Perfect for readers who crave depth, emotion, and authenticity, Remembering Love is a compelling addition to any bookstore’s shelves. Latrice L. Washington is an author to watch!
