Kenya R. Marshall-Harper is a doctoral graduate of the School of Educational Studies at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), holding a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in K-12 Equity and Education, and a certificate in Women and Gender Studies.Dr. Marshall-Harper brings 20 years of experience working with diverse student populations as a secondary English and English Language Development teacher and an instructional coach. She is currently a part-time faculty member in the Master of Arts in Teaching Preparation (MATP) program at Pepperdine University. Her expertise lies in K-12 education, talent development, mixed-methods research, and historically underserved female student populations.A recognized scholar, she is the recipient of national and international distinctions, including the Tae Han Kim Award and the Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Award. Dr. Marshall-Harper's research, presented at numerous conferences, focuses on the life-span talent development of African American female faculty.
