About me
Dr. Jonique Burton is a life-long educator who has spent the past 24 years working and serving students, parents, and staff in the public education sector throughout various communities such as Houston and Fortbend, Texas, Indianapolis, Indiana, Culver City and Los Angeles, California. Dr. Burton is passionate about mitigating the opportunity gap while facilitating courageous conversations and serving as a change agent with schools, teachers, administrators and families to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion. Her ministry is accelerating educational outcomes for ALL students. Dr. Burton has served as a teacher, Crisis Administrator, Assistant Principal of Curriculum & Instruction and A-G Coordinator. Currently, she is serving as the Principal of Early College Academy High School -LATTC for Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).
